About

The proposed research focuses on the design and development of high-performance, platinum-free electrochemical energy devices for sustainable energy conversion. Nickel based binder-free and self-supported systems to enhance charge transport and catalytic efficiency. The work aims to bridge the gap between material-level activity and real device performance through optimized device configuration. Prototype fabrication of water-splitting cells and photovoltaic devices will be carried out under practical operating conditions. Special attention will be given to interface engineering to minimize charge transfer resistance and improve overall efficiency. The study will further explore integrated systems such as solar-driven hydrogen generation for self-powered applications. Scalable fabrication techniques will be adopted to evaluate commercial feasibility. Cost-effective alternatives to noble metals will be prioritized throughout the device design. This research ultimately aims to advance the development of efficient, durable, and scalable clean energy technologies.
