Dr. K.D. Nisha serves as an Associate Professor in the Department of Physics and Nanotechnology at SRM Institute of Science and Technology, where she has been a faculty member since August 2015. Her research interests lie in the development and application of nanostructured materials, with a focus on both energy-related technologies and biomedical systems. She has published extensively in respected scientific journals and has successfully guided two Ph.D. scholars to completion. Currently, she is supervising three doctoral students working in the fields of solar cell development and thermoelectric materials. Dr. Nisha is also a recipient of research funding under SRMIST's Selective Excellence Research Program, having secured a grant of Rs. 2.5 lakhs for her project titled “A Step towards Greater Safety and Biocompatibility of Nanoparticle Formulation.” Her work continues to contribute meaningfully to advancements in both sustainable energy and nanomedicine.
