Abinaya Sri U is currently a Research Scholar at the Nanotechnology Research Centre, SRM Institute of Science and Technology, since June 2026. She holds a Master of Science (M.Sc.) degree from Dwaraka Doss Goverdhan Doss Vaishnav College, affiliated with the University of Madras. Her research focuses on the synthesis, characterization, and development of metal oxide-based nanomaterials for advanced gas sensing applications. Her work particularly emphasizes the development of highly sensitive, selective, stable, and room-temperature-operable Chemi resistive gas sensors for the detection of toxic gases. Her research aims to contribute to the advancement of next-generation sensing technologies through the development of efficient nanomaterial-based platforms with improved sensing response, faster detection, and enhanced reliability. These studies have potential applications in environmental monitoring, industrial safety and real-time gas detection systems.
