C. Gifta is currently a Research Scholar at the Center of excellence in Materials for Advanced Technologies (CeMAT), SRM Institute of Science and Technology, Kattankulathur, since June 2026. She holds her Master of Science degree in Physics from The American College, Madurai (Affiliated to Madurai Kamaraj University). Her research focuses on gas sensing technology for the detection of hazardous and environmentally significant gases. She is aiming for the development of high-sensitivity, selective and stability gas sensors for the real-time applications. As a researcher, she is expanding her understanding and knowledge towards sensing mechanisms and development of a sensor.
