Ms. C.N. Dhivya Mahalakshmi

I began my doctoral studies in January 2024 with a foundation in chemistry and focuses on halide perovskites, Ag/Cu-based chalcogenides, and chalcohalides for bulk thermoelectric applications. My research bridges chemical intuition with material innovation, aiming to engineer high-performance thermoelectric materials and investigating its thermal and electrical transport properties. I am proficient in both chemical and physical synthesis techniques, including precipitation, wet chemical methods, and solid-state approaches. Beyond thermoelectrics, I have a strong interest in gas sensors, metal ion detection using nitrogen-doped carbon quantum dots, and coordination chemistry.

Research Interest

• Low dimensional halide perovskites for thermoelectric applications

• Chalcogenides and chalcohalides for room-mid temperature thermoelectric applications
