Ms. H. Naskath Sithara


Ms. Naskath Sithara. H, specializes in the synthesis and characterization of functional nanomaterials for advanced optoelectronic applications. Her research is primarily cantered on the development of thin films and two-dimensional transition metal dichalcogenides (TMDs) for high-performance photodetectors. She has significant expertise in vapor-phase deposition techniques, interfacial engineering, and defect modulation to enhance device efficiency and stability. Her contributions aim to bridge fundamental material science with real-world applications in next-generation optoelectronics.

Research Interest

Transition metal dichalcogenide (TMD) 2D material (MoS2) for optoelectronic device applications; Controlled growth of MoS₂ thin films via chemical vapor deposition (CVD) using two-zone and three-zone furnace systems; Engineering of precursor evaporation and sulfurization kinetics for tunable crystallinity and film quality; Van der Waals heterostructures and interface-engineered photodetectors; Structural, optical, and electronic property modulation through metal intercalation and growth environment optimization; Fabrication and characterization of heterojunction-based photodetectors; Charge transport analysis in TMD-based optoelectronic devices; Electrical transport properties of 2D materials and thin films.
