Ms. M. Pavithra

Pavithra Murugesh, researcher who works in the field of gas sensing. She joined Center of Excellence in Materials for Advanced Technologies (CeMAT), SRM IST, India (formerly known as SRM University) in December 2020 as a Research Scholar. She completed her master’s in physics from Chikkanna Government arts college, Bharathiyar University, India and bachelor’s in Physics from Kongunadu Arts and Science College, India. She has experience in synthesis and characterization of metal oxide nanoparticles through chemical and physical routes. She has hands-on experience in performing gas sensing studies for various metal oxide films. Her research focuses on investigating and fabricating metal oxides to detect NO2 gas.


Research interest:

Spinel Co3O4-based NO2 sensor for low temperature detection.

  Synthesis of hybrid nanostructures, nanoparticles, heterostructures

Growth of metal oxides via Spray Pyrolysis technique
